Scoring is completely wrong

I have now played 4 games in which me and another player will complete phase 10 in the same hand yet I will "lose" because it has more points. The winner is supposed to be the one with less points. Whats the purpose of completing all the phases the quickest when a high score is how you win? Please fix this so it makes sense, lowest score and fastest to complete 10 phases wins
