Completely worthless to me after update

Please fix multiplayer!
I travel for work constantly and my fiancé and I really enjoyed playing this game from opposite sides of the country...until the last update took away our ability to play each other in a two-person game. We purchased the game specifically for that functionality, and would like it restored as soon as possible.
