Cant play friends/family on other devices

My family and I love playing Phase 10, which is why my wife and I were excited to see it available as an app. Once we both purchased our own copies of the app, we unfortunately discovered that we cant play each other. She has a Galaxy and I have an iPhone. As a result, we havent played it once; what a waste of money. Great game, bad app.
